WELCOME TO NCAA!
In the first 7 games of the NCAA, Leonard Fournette ran unabated in both gratings and the race toward the Heisman.
Fournette (games in that time) did not register any party with less than 150 yards, in fact, on 3 occasions exceeded the 200 and also scored 15 touchdowns.
And as it was assumed that each party would run a number
of yards, it is expected that had everything we needed to make the
distinction, until the said calendar week 8.In the eighth week, Fournette visited LSU and Alabama . Facing a powerful attack, balanced and well calibrated was led by Derrick Henry, who came to the game with 14 touchdowns, only one less than Fournette.
He had much to do the defensive 'Crimson Tide' so that at that party, a real train wreck, Fournette had his worst game of the season: 31 yards on 19 carries and one touchdown.
That however, if the night was Henry who suffered in the first half to score yards, but managed to finish with 210, 3 touchdowns and feeling more ground to Fournette.
From that game, Fournette stagnated while Henry held his overwhelming pace and even took a sprint finish to touch the 300 yards against Auburn (271) in the penultimate game of the season.
